Are microgreens safe for you to eat? This is a very good question. There are some good things about growing these plants as well as there being some not so good things about growing them. Let’s start with the good side of the coin. They are very easy to grow and yield great results.

This means that eating growing microgreens will give you more than just vitamin c, it will give you a full range of nutrients and vitamins that are necessary to keep your body healthy.
As you can see from the benefits of consuming microgreens it makes sense that they would be good for you. But the question still remains. How can microgreens make you sick?
The reason that microgreens can make you sick is because they contain a lot of nutrients and vitamins but lack in certain minerals. Most plants will contain more vitamins and minerals in their leaves and stems than in the fruits and vegetables they are grown in. This means that if you were to eat a salad made from micro greens and veggies you would be getting a good amount of the essential vitamins and minerals your body requires but without the additional ones your body needs. In most cases the additional vitamins and minerals come from one of the main ingredients in the microgreen. Beta-carotene is one of these ingredients.
Beta-carotene is one of the main nutrients found in foods such as carrots, cabbage, kale, lettuce and microgreens. This fat-soluble vitamin can provide you with a range of benefits including increasing the amount of energy and helping you to feel better. While eating microgreens as a snack or part of a larger meal can provide your body with some of the beta-carotene it needs. However, eating a meal which is primarily comprised of these foods can also lead to an unbalanced level of these fats in your body. This can lead to weight gain and may cause health problems in the future.
Some people have been concerned about eating microgreens because of the way they look. These small dark green seeds are actually similar in appearance to an apricot. There is no reason to worry though as these seeds are used to increase the overall content in a dish by adding more greens to the mix. It doesn’t change the fact that they are small, so they don’t add any extra bulk to your meals.
